The vocalisation of feelings – whether happy, sad, angry or deeply meaningful – is the domain of radio. A good broadcaster captures the audience’s attention by bringing words to life.

My first impressions of a commercial radio newsroom had to do with its overwhelming energy, enthusiasm and pace. My time at Fox FM/Triple M was a top learning experience, during which I wrote a number of stories and practised my news reading. It served to reinforce my passion for journalism.

Boxwars is the latest “sport” to take the world by storm. The idea is people make elaborate costumes from cardboard, gather in public and battle each other (safely), as a creative means to express themselves.
