Spring/Summer 2012 Fashion

Some of the big names in Australian fashion came together on Wednesday night at Chadstone’s Vogue runway show.

For all you fashionistas who couldn’t attend, not to worry, I’ve got it covered.

From high-end designers Sass & Bide, Bettina Liano and Alannah Hill to GAP, Country Road and Ksubi, there was something for everyone.

The common thread was chic, sheer, simple and easily wearable.

While a few of the outfits made me cringe (think pleated skirts and dresses), for the most part I longed for the new looks to add to my already overflowing wardrobe.

Eye-popping cobalt and tangerine, along with pastels pink and green were the colours of the night.

Denim and leather featured heavily, showing that comfort can also be stylish.

Florals and bold prints made an appearance, with Ted Baker’s striking “shorts suit” leading the way.

Lover’s raincoat-esque dress, Witchery’s lace creation and Sass & Bide’s chiffon ensemble also dazzled on the runway.

It was a visual feast for fashion enthusiasts and definitely an event to remember… if only my credit card felt the same way!

Here are a few snaps of the standouts from the night.
